Comme d’habitude, je vais laisser mon commentaire en ce qui concerne les awards dans le monde du digital. C’est vrai quand même que le concept en lui-même pose pas mal de polémiques depuis la nuit des temps. La remise des récompenses laisse toujours des questions auxquelles nous ne trouverons peut-être jamais de réponse. Je vais cependant me pencher sur un cas particulier afin d’apporter ma noble contribution. Il s’agit des récents Bonteh Digital Media Award (BDMA) 2019.

Avoir une cérémonie qui récompense les acteurs du digital est une très bonne chose pour le Cameroun. D’autant plus que c’est l’initiative d’un jeune à peine la trentaine. Ceci est donc à féliciter, à encourager et à accompagner. Cependant, cet événement commence à prendre une place très importante dans le Game par conséquent, devrait faire attention à certains détails. Je ne parlerai pas sur les critères de nomination. Je mettrai beaucoup plus en avant la qualité des vainqueurs. Ici, je m’attarderais aussi sur une seule catégorie (où j’étais nominé) à savoir “Meilleur Blogueur francophone“. Je précise néanmoins que je ne viens pas faire une quelconque revendication mais apporter quelques annotations qui pourraient aider.

Comment gagner un BDMA?

Pour remporter un BDMA, il faut tout d’abord :
1- Être nominé
2- Être voté
3- Avoir une bonne note des jury

Doit-on voter pour les BDMA? | Si OUI!!!

C’est important d’avoir l’avis du public, vu que c’est lui qui est la principale cible de tout produit marketing. Cependant, pour les BDMA 2019,
– Une seule personne était capable de voter (plusieurs fois) le même candidat pour la même catégorie (avec un ou plusieurs appareils s’il voulait).
– L’organisation n’utilise pas son propre site internet pour les votes.
– Impossible d’avoir les tendances pour une bonne transparence.
– Un jury qu’on ne connait pas, et on ne sait pas comment ils ont jugé.

Doit-on voter pour les BDMA? | Si NON !!!

En 2019, avec tous les outils possibles, devrons-nous nous fier au vote pour déterminer le meilleur dans un domaine digital ? En ce qui concerne le blog, il est possible d’avoir des données chiffrées des sites et réseaux sociaux. Que ce soit la portée, l’engagement par publication, trafic, impact, on peut tout avoir. Je n’ai rien contre mes confrères qui sont primés cette année. Mais si tu as un blog qui n’a pas de trafic ni d’impact, et qu’à la moindre nomination, tu bats une campagne de malade pour finalement remporter, je crois qu’il y a un problème. Soit on récompense le blogueur qui aura la meilleure campagne de vote (vu que tu peux avoir un monde prêt à voter plusieurs fois avec un ou plusieurs appareils différents), soit on récompense le meilleur blogueur.

Mes propositions

Je ne m’attarderais pas sur les vainqueurs de cette edition mais toute fois pour les prochaines, voici ce que je propose.
– BDMA doit avoir un site officiel où se passeront les votes (s’ils continuent avec les votes)
– Présenter son jury (qui doit être qualifié et impartial qui pourra aussi faire une veille sur les nominés)
– Les capchat c’est bien pour éviter d’acheter les votes mais ce serait bien de faire voter avec une adresse mail ou un compte Facebook. Ceci évitera aux gens de voter plusieurs fois. On pourra dire que le public (une grande masse de personnes et non une seule personne qui s’arrange à appuyer plusieurs fois sur le bouton) a choisi son vainqueur.
– Laisser paraitre les tendances sur le site pour plus de transparence.
– Afficher le résultat final à la fin

Toute fois je reste contre les votes pour toutes catégories qu’on peut quantifier et vous qu’en pensez-vous ?
