Quelques mois seulement après son entrée en bourse, le géant Jumia n’a pas résisté et fermer ses portes ce matin lorsqu’il était 10 heures.

Soulignons qu’en septembre (Cinq mois après son entrée fracassante à la Bourse de New York) le leader de la vente en ligne en Afrique affrontait déjà des vents contraires et se devait plus que jamais convaincre les investisseurs de son potentiel.

Après le Congo et le Gabon, c’est au tour du Cameroun. Selon certaines sources, depuis 2012 que JUMIA est au Cameroun, il n’a jamais réalisé de bénéfices.

Surprise ou pas?

La situation reste encore floue à la direction générale de Jumia ce lundi 18 novembre 2019. En pleine campagne de black friday, on apprend qu’une note de la hiérarchie a été envoyée aux employés de la boite. Sûrement pour leur annoncer la triste nouvelle. L’entreprise n’aura pas résisté à l’écosystème camerounais.

Selon une source, L’entrepôt de la structure aurait également été scellé. La déclaration officielle du directeur général de Jumia Cameroun, l’Ivoirien Kone Dowogonan serait en cours d’élaboration.

C’est aussi vrai que Jumia ne cumulait pas une très bonne réputation venant des clients. Dans un environnement où acheter en ligne n’est pas un réflexe. C’était d’abord Afrimarket qui n’avait pas pu résister, voilà que le géant cède.
