Samuel Dikongue aka Samy Diko est un artiste camerounais de renommée. Il se fait remarquer dans les debuts des années 2000, comme l’heritier de petit-pays et digne représentant du Makossa. Le Makossa, qui se meurt car la montée inébranlable des rythmes afrobeats et hiphop accaparent le devant de la scène.
Samy Diko en résumé
Né à Douala, il fait ses premiers pas musicaux à 12 ans dans une chorale de la place. En effet c’est en 1997 qu’il sort son premier album solo “A vous les femmes“. Pourtant malgré ce premier succès il s’envole en 1998 pour la France d’où il présentera l’année qui suit l’album “Evolution“. D’autant plus que cet album marque le début de la discographie impressionnante de Samy Diko :
- 2001 – l’album “Merci“
- 2004 – l’album “Persévérance“
- 2008 – l’album “Renaissance“
- 2012 – l’album “Diko“
En outre l’artiste Samy Diko est très demandé par les audiophiles. Les concerts où il monte sur scène sont innombrables, du Bataclan et l’Olympia aux côtés d’autres artistes étrangers aux différentes récompenses musicales, il fait l’unanimité.
C’est avec d’autant plus de surprises qu’il est réapparu au devant de la scène aux côtés de Locko en fin d’année 2018. Cependant il revient début 2019 avec un nouveau maxi single : “My Love“.

Le nouveau maxi single de Samy Diko est vrai et respecte tout les codes du Makossa Love. En effet Samy Diko nous parle d’amour, de toujours y croire un beau message d’encouragement pour les couples qui passent par des périodes troubles dans leur couple.
Le titre “My Love” est dévoilée pile poil le 14 février 2019 à l’occasion de la saint valentin…. Tout un symbole.
Cependant la vidéo lyrique gâche un peu le plaisir audio. En effet plusieurs fautes de français apparaissent tout au long de la vidéo. Malgré ce petit couac qu’on espère être une exception, nous souhaitons bon courage à Samy Diko, surtout dans le couloir du Makossa, en proie à une compétition féroce de l’afrobeat et du hiphop.
