Kofi Annan est décédé

L’ancien secrétaire général de l’ONU et porteur du prix Nobel de la Paix Kofi Annan nous a quitté ce samedi, comme le confirme l’agence de l’ONU.

Mr. Annan est né au Ghana en 1938, et est en outre consacré septième secrétaire de l’ONU de 1997 à 2006. En effet il a été le tout premier à gravir ce poste tout en appartenant au staff de l’ONU.

Membre du “The Elders”, un groupe de leaders internationaux, qui travaille pour les droits humains depuis sa fondation en 2007. En effet depuis 2013 il est à sa tête.

Le Tweet l’agence des migrations de l’ONU a tweeté :

“Today we mourn the loss of a great man, a leader, and a visionary”

Annan est porteur du prix Nobel de la paix de 2001, en raison de son travail pour un monde mieux organisé et en paix.

Il laisse une femme et trois enfants.
