Groupe ONE en salopette et en latcho

Quand on parle de YEMA Productions, généralement on pense directement à Locko. En effet le 9 Février 2018, date à laquelle il présentait son nouvel album “Bridge”, Locko mit fin aux rumeurs.

Premièrement il annonça la création du label YEMA Productions, en outre en collaboration avec Big Dreams Ent. Mais encore il présente quelques temps plus tard sa nouvelle signature : le groupe ONE. Ce sont deux jeunes camerounais, des amis de longue date, qui ont décidé de faire de la musique.

En latcho

Le tout premier titre que j’ai écouté de ONE, c’est “en latcho”. Bon ils sont jeunes et le thème qu’ils ont choisi, passe justement. En fait il s’agit de faire ce qu’on appelle du “Taper dos”. Ils essayent de convaincre une fille de tromper leur partenaire respectif en cachette.

Techniquement, l’instrumental ne m’a pas transcendé, d’ailleurs je ne sais pas qui l’a composé. L’instrus à des consonances qui puisent dans le bitkusi, c’est le seul point positif que je dénote. Vocalement parlant, je ne suis pas encore convaincu, bien sur tout n’est pas négatif, mais c’est assez insuffisant à mon avis. Le flow est assez terre à terre, mais aussi adapté au mood “bitkusi” de la prod. Un mix entre Rap, Slam et Afrobeat.

 Salopette

Le deuxième titre que j’ai eu l’occasion d’écouter, je l’ai découvert en parcourant leur youtube. Ici le thème est aussi juvénile, boites de nuits, soirées et filles habillés en salopettes.

Toujours dans la même ambiance que “en latcho”, l’instrus ici est aussi fortement influencé par les rythmes bantoues de la forêt équatoriale. Néanmoins j’aime bien leur storytelling, assez fluide et concis. Mais le degré de singularité caractériel de leur voice n’est pas encore complétement exploité. Ils doivent y travailler.
