Djoko Marius Arnaud a.k.a Chamy Crys, est un parolier remarquable. Il y a quelques années, il faisait partie du groupe BIA-BIA avec Jamesy chez Madiba Brand. Originaire de l’ouest Cameroun (Baham), il est né à Yaoundé (Mvog Ada). Son amour pour la musique commence donc à l’âge de 13 ans. Artiste indépendant à nos jours, Chamy Crys nous parle de Marie Jeanne dans son nouveau single.

Parodiste ou artiste confirmé?

Chamy Crys est l’un des rares artistes qui peut te faire “kiffer” une chanson parodiée par lui plus que la version originale. Il a fait danser la ville de Yaoundé et ses environs sur ses remix. Étant lui-même beat maker, cela se faisait plus facilement. Il pouvait gérer les cadences à sa convenance puis ajouter sa particularité. Ses vidéos (des reprises) sont de plus en plus vues sur internet. Cependant, lorsqu’il propose une de ses propres composition, le retour n’est pas aussi grand que celui avec ses parodies. Serait-il alors plus aimé en parodies qu’en artiste confirmé? En tout cas sa parodie “Sapé comme jamais” reste la plus regardée avec plus de 73 000 vues.

Chamy Crys c’est Marie Jeanne ou marijuane

Un mélange de reggae danse hall et d’afro, l’artiste nous transporte dans son univers. Ici il parle de sa Marie Jeanne mais si on prête bien attention aux détails, on aura tendance à comprendre autre chose. Soulignons que la “marijuana” encore appelée “cannabis”, donne les même effets que ce qu’il décrit dans sa chanson. ses paroles commencent par “Jah jah rastafari-an ah c’est vrai que Marie Jeanne me fait planer…” Ensuite il dit “…tu m’as rendu toqué, c’est toi ma cocaïne, tu m’as drogué…” puis “Marie Jeanne t’ai ma marijuana“. Serait-il en train de parler de sa conjointe comme une drogue ou alors des effets que la drogue fait sur lui?

Le clip

Réalisé par Franco JetX, le clip est assez simple et assez plat. Filmé à un seul endroit, malgré les transitions on remarque le manque de variation dans les décors. Dans le clip, on remarque que Chamy porte un bracelet ayant l’effigie de la marijuana. Sa compagne l’a aussi en tatouage. En plus vers la 29ᵉ seconde, on voit bien une fumée qui monte; comme quoi Chamy serait en train de fumer. Bref il n’y a que l’artiste pour nous dire de quoi il est question ici.
